Frederick was first identified in the 1850 Census of Neshannock, Lawrence, Pennsylvania. Asa Brown was the head of the household, and Eleanor is the mother.

Juliane Burbach, in an email dated 1 Aug 2000, found reference to Frederick's marriage on 12/9/1882 in Tippecanoe County, Indiana which lists his parents as Frederich Goaz and Elener Hoffman. Frederick was age 53. Probably a second marriage. The actual marriage record lists Fredrich Goaz married to Lovina Bartly on 9 Dec 1822 but doesn't list ages, parentage, or residences. Check for other marriage registers.
