Spell Check Errors with More than One Version of Legacy Installed on Same PC
Legacy 4.0 and 5.0 use a different spelling checker version than
earlier versions of Legacy. Both spelling checkers are from the same company but the company erred because earlier versions of their spelling checkers are not compatible with the current version that is needed by Legacy
5.0. So, those users who would like to run the current version of Legacy and
and earlier version on the same computer will have to take some special steps to set things up
for Legacy 3.0.
Download the following file and unzip it to your Legacy 3.0 folder (these files must be in the same folder as the Legacy.exe program):
www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/_downld/Controls/Legacy3SpellCheckFiles.exe
The Legacy3SpellCheckFiles.exe program is a self-extracting WinZip file. When you run it you will be prompted to specify a folder where you want to extract the files to. You will need to click on the Browse button and select the folder where you have Legacy 3.0 installed. After selecting the folder then you can click on the UnZip button to extract the files.
Once these spell checker files are extracted to the Legacy 3.0 folder you will be able to run Legacy 3.0 and shouldn't have any problems with Notes or Spell Checking.
