Legacy's FamilySearch integration features are now available in version 7.5, released January 17, 2011 in both Standard (free) and Deluxe editions. Click here to download the update. NOTE: FamilySearch currently restricts access to this one FamilySearch database to those with an LDS account while they conclude the beta testing. Other FamilySearch databases are available for the public to search at www.FamilySearch.org.

Version 7.5 is certified in Access, Helper, Ordinance Status, Ordinance Reservation, Ordinance Request, PAF Import, Print, Sync, and Update. This will allow you to:

Match your Legacy individuals with FamilySearch individuals
Combine potential duplicates that exist at FamilySearch
View the real-time ordinance status of individuals (LDS)
Reserve and print Family Ordinance Requests (LDS)
Assign your ordinance cards to others and track their progress (LDS)
Share information back and forth (optional) between Legacy and FamilySearch

News / Updates

January 17, 2011 - released Legacy 7.5 to the public. January 7, 2011 - received official certification from FamilySearch for the "Helper Mode" category. December 28, 2010 - announced our 7.5 release date of January 17, 2011. See http://tinyurl.com/2cf2lhz for more information. December 20, 2010 - Legacy is now certified in Access, Ordinance Status, Ordinance Reservation, Ordinance Request, PAF Import, Print, Sync, and Update. We are now going through some final testing with our beta testers before releasing version 7.5 with these updates to ensure we deliver a solid product. Thanks everyone for your patience. November 29, 2010 - Having passed the software certification requirements for Sync in the past couple of months (unannounced), we are meeting with FamilySearch this week for the final certification for Ordinance Reservation and Ordinance Request. We decided not to release 7.5 until BOTH Sync and Ordinance Reservation/Request are completed. September 20, 2010 - Legacy is being evaluated by FamilySearch for its final Sync Certification. After it gets the approval, we will have our testers perform their final testing, after which we will release to the public. April 25, 2010 - released update, version 7.4.0.38 which adds the ability to view ALL of a person's events. Previously you could only view a person's vital events. We've also added section headers to the "My Legacy Person" and the "FamilySearch Person" views for easier viewing. April 9, 2010 - released update, version 7.4.0.30 which uses FamilySearch's new login system. March 12, 2010 - published new video: "Overview of Legacy and New FamilySearch". This was presented live to the Mesa, Arizona FHC March 11, 2010. January 30, 2010 - released 7.4 (public pre-release) to the general public. January 28, 2010 - published new video: "Getting Started with Legacy 7.4: Matching / Combining / Ordinances". Legacy 7.4 (public pre-release) will probably be released this weekend. January 12, 2010 - released 7.4 beta version to a special group of testers for final testing. January 5, 2010 - Legacy 7.4 received official certification from FamilySearch, and is now listed as an official Certified Product at http://www.familysearch.org/eng/affiliates/index.html. Legacy is certified in the following categories: Access, Ordinance Status, Print. December 31, 2009 - The Getting Started in Legacy Family Tree for the Brand New LDS Genealogist video is now available below.
